Hey folks! Some of you may know about the fires and some of you may not know. Basically there has been fires going on for quite a few months now and there is a new in Silverado. A lot of people are either evacuating, getting ready to evacuate, or might know someone who will be evacuating.
My family and I and a few of my friends/teachers have evacuated and because of that I wanted to come on here and give some tips on what to pack when evacuating, and some resources you can check out.
Tips for evacuating-
- Make sure to keep up with the news
Here’s a website you can use to keep up with the fires
- Check up on our friends/family
- Pack all the essentials
- Create an evacuation plan
- Make sure your phone is fully charged
- Make sure you and your pets and little ones are okay and pack essentials for them
What to pack-
- Legal/important documents
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen, etc.)
- Any medication you or your roommate/family members might take
- Your computer and anything you might need for work/school
- Clothes (I would recommend to pack for at least 2 days)
- Some money
- A pillow/ blanket
- Flashlight
- Water/food
Creating an evacuation plan–
- Where are you going to go?
- Do you have everything you need?
- Are your pets/little ones/friends/family members safe?
- Is your phone fully charged?
- Are you in comfortable clothing?
